Kinsale Outdoor Education Centre is fortunate to engage with 12  Youthreach centres, also operating under the umbrella of Cork Education and Training Board. Through our dedicated Outdoor Education programme, we have welcomed learners from all over Cork city and the wider county.

The initiative offers YouthReach learners from each centre six days dedicated to Outdoor Education within each academic year. The focus is centred around developing personal skills, working on communication, collaboration and fostering self-confidence and resilience through kayaking, climbing and other activities. There is also an emphasis on developing nature connectivity as a medium for wellbeing and long-term fulfillment. Some highlights from 2023 include our very first Youthreach Adventure challenge, bringing together learners from various Youthreach centres. Of note too was our overnight expedition in Schull, including a hill walk on the incredible Sheep's Head (featured below).
